I have downloaded the Office 2007 Beta. Is there any way to just install Word?

Yeah

run the setup program

choose custom install

you will eventually get the choice of what you want to install

if it's the same as before, you can do a custom install, and take only Word.

This being said, judging on the track record of bugs in Office, it is likely that a beta version will be even more bugged, and could cause you a lot of headaches.

So I hope you know what you're doing, and can accept data loss, should it happen.
