How do you make puffed rice (not corn)? Always have wondered this!?

MARSHMALLOW PUFFED RICE BALLS

6 tbsp. butter
3 c. miniature marshmallows
1/2 of 3 oz. pkg. gelatin, raspberry is best (about 3 tbsp.)
1 1/2 qts. puffed rice cereal

In medium saucepan melt butter over low heat Add marshmallows, stir until melted. Blend in dry gelatin. Pour over puffed rice. Mix well with buttered hands. Form into balls.

Puffed rice is usually made by heating rice kernels under high pressure in the presence of steam.

Cook white rice as per the instructions then deep fry it!
