Panasonic DMR-ES35 is the best combo out there ( there may be a newer model by Xmas) but the only thing the newer model could offer is a Memory or Flash card card reader as it does everything else already in that it will do all formats ( RAM, +/- R,RW) and DL ( Dual Layer) recording. What makes Panasonic better than ANY of the others is that it has Time Slip recording ( when using a RAM disc) which allows you to watch the beginning of a recording while its still recording to the end, great if you mssed the opening kickoff of your favorite game. It also records at 500 lines of resolution in the XP(1hr), SP(2HR) and LP( 3 hr) recording mode, whereas other machines priced higher drop down to below 480i ( industry Standard Definition quality minimum) when you get to the LP mode. Its also Consumer Reports Highest Rated DVD Recorder 4 years running.

We offered Lite-On from Costco. It has the two DVD and VHS and transfers them from one yet another without problems. It replace into very low value. A co-worker informed me this form quite makes electronics for fairly some the bigger companies. we've had it for a on an identical time as now and function no longer had a single concern with it. It even works greater desirable and lots swifter than the Toshiba DVR that we've at my artwork. i would be a form snob yet now i'm, very happy with that purchase and could evaluate different electronics from this organization.

Go to Dick Smiths or Tandys they can help you. If you like overseas movies don't get an expensive one as most of the dearer ones don't play movies from overseas or movies done on the computer.
The cheaper ones do a better job. believe me I've had difficulties in this area before and My brother who works for Tandys told me about this problem and now I have one of the Dick Smiths DVD players and I have no problem at all.

The Sony VRD-MC1 DVDirect multi-function DVD recorder allows both video and digital photos to be recorded to DVD without using a computer.

I happen to like the panasonic. But most DVD/VCR combos will do the job with the touch of one button.
