FAFSA.ed.gov will help you tap into both federal and college need based financial aid. There are a lot of free membership scholarship search websites, but most are for high school students. However, it is not impossible to find one. Also, most college financial aid office websites list private scholarships from companies and organizations too.

First thing you need to do is fill out the fafsa (www.fafsa.ed.gov) most of the time places will not even award you, if you haven't filled that out yet. They will determine what your EFC is, and that will help determine what your eligibility or financial needs are.

You can try fastweb.com - they have information on lot's of scholarships. There is also collegeboard.com. Also try your local community. Good luck - keep searching and don't give up! I am also trying my best to apply for scholarships.
