Be specific, it depends on what filling they put in the mooncakes, different kinds of mooncakes from different bakeries and what kind of oil and sugar they put in the mooncakes will determine how many kcalories one contains.
Any kind of moon cake is rich of sugar and fat, 100g "Wing Wah" lotus seed paste with 2 egg yolks big mooncake contains 426kcal, 100g Maxim's low lotus seed paste with 2 egg yolks big mooncake contains 422kcal, 100g Maxim's low sugar mooncake contains 398kcal (subject to how sweet the mooncake is and what oil they put in it, traditional ones blend lard with lotus seed paste to make it smooth).

It must be a regional thing. I have never heard of this !!
What really scares me is the thought that a CAKE has A SKIN !

If you feel that the food is of high calories then avoid the food. No point of finding out, how much the calories.
