There are 2 ways to look at this.

1. All kinds of animals were on the ark. It was very large.

2. Was the flood local or global. There will be a lot of disagreement with this, but it would have only been necessary to flood where humans were and not the whole earth. At this time people were centrally located, and not spread out all over the earth.

I highly doubt the people who believe in the literal meaning of the Ark story believe in plate techtonics either. The easy answer for the fundementalists would be that before the flood the world was one big continent and that God seperated them afterwards. It's just that nobody wrote that part in the Bible. That's the thing with fairy tales: there's always an easy answer for every problem...

my guess is that the flood only happened around the middle east (if there was a flood at all).

seeing as the area around the middle east was "the world" to those living there, i would imagine that they didnt know about the rest of the world.

God brought All animals in existance onto Noah's ark. All of them, two by two.

Genesis 7:15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.

Every day something against religion. You could use a different hobby. Believers don't have all of the answers. We are required to live by faith. If you worked as hard to prove God as you do to disprove you would be a lot happier. You are still in my prayers.
