Because guys, like girls, can be nervous around someone they like. Lots of guys need the direct approach, especially if they don't have a lot of experience in approaching girls. If you like him, tell him... that way there's no more mixed signals, he'll either say I like you too, or I'm just not interested in you "that way". It works both ways, he's probably confused by you at this point too. For future reference, guys aren't that observant as a general rule of thumb. Reading between the lines isn't one of our strong suits... big bold letters work best for us...highlighted with exclamation points helps, but not mandatory.

maybe he is shy.. as for the "mommas boy thing" thing don't listen alright.. give him a bit to come around, if he doesn't ask him nicely. sit him down and talk to him. ask him why is he giving mixed signals and what he really feels for you.. it might be a bit scary to ask first but if he does like you it will be worth it.. good luck

Well, first of all, he sounds immature, so don't hold your breath. He may end up hurting you in the long run. Or he could be wanting you to chase him. Guys like attention just as much as we do!

That the trouble with most of them. They are shy , afraid, etc, etc . In such cases if you like him then simply go to him and tell him so and that settles everything.
