Legs lifts - lie on your side and slowly lift your leg up, holding it for a few seconds at a time before lowering it slowly, the more you do it the more you will be able to hold them up for. Then do the same with the other leg.
Take the stairs instead of the lift.
Cycling is good.

Walking, running, cycling and swimming are the best ways I think.
If you want you can add a bit of resistance, a couple of kilos won't increase your muscles a lot, but help to tone them up.
Just remember that the leg muscles are the biggest group of muscles and can handle quite a lot.

Anything aerobic rather than weight baring.
Running walking etc.
If you put resistance into the mix such as step machines or bicycles then you are adding weight and increasing muscle mass.
