I am not Christian but Jewish yet I feel compelled to answer your excellent question. I have an answer that I am sure no person can duplicate. I believe in the 2 of them. You see Adam and Eve, according to the Bible, were the first man and woman, They had 2 sons who were Caan and Abel. When forced from the Garden Of Eden, the 2 sons Married. Who did they marry? Most likely CroMagnon Man which is a humanoid with ape like features. So now we have evolution and Adam and Eve. I

Did you let Dino out for a walk today?

Mankind living with dragons and T-rexes! I really am trying not to laugh, but it’s so hilarious!

As much as I want to laugh further, I also feel sad that old-fashioned Bible readers have been duped into merely skimming the surface of the profound Genesis. The Books of the Law have many meanings (70 to every word), as some traditions state.

Many an old-fashioned mind would short circuit if I showed them that plesiosaurs appear in the Bible! Oops!

Evolution has not been ruling us with an ironclad fist! Do your homework! In fact, evolution almost never made it out alive from Christian England of the 19th century!

Isn’t it ironic that in 19th century England, English Christian scientists were having intelligent debates and giving lectures, all the while praising God for his marvelous hand in creating prehistoric life? Two centuries later, are we even half as open-minded?

You can keep your instant planet cereal mix. I’d rather marvel at the natural wonders (God-made or otherwise), atmospheres that unfold and bring forth life continually, ceaselessly through billions of years!

Respect goes out to the people, religious and otherwise, who have been innovative with their sound, believable answers.

I am a Christian, and I have no problem at all accepting the well supported findings of science, including biological evolution. No-one who bothers to look at the evidence objectively can possibly come to any other conclusion. Which is why some fundamentalist groups won't look at the evidence. Better to demonize something that conflicts with your biblical interpretations than to really look into it honestly, discover it is true, and be forced to admit that it is your biblical interpretations that are false. Truth cannot conflict with truth. Which is why my Christian faith and my scientific knowledge do not conflict in any way.

I honestly don't care if we evolved or not. Doesn't shake my faith one iota. Being a Christian on a daily basis has very little to do with the creation/evolution debate. I truly believe that Science and Scripture mesh on levels that we cannot comprehend. I do not believe the creation and evolution theories to be mutually exclusive. Maybe we did evolve. How should I know, I wasn't there?!

You mean besides the fact that it is only a theory and has not been ruled as an iron-clad fact? Many Christians believe in the bible, just you don't. Since no one was around when the earth was made, both creationism and evolution are theories. There are people who support one over the other and there are people who support both. I personally support Creationism with evolution helping it along. I think both theories have merit.

As a Catholic, I believe that the aspects of the theory of evolution are clear and present in nature. As we understand evolution, I believe that it is very impressive tool formed by our creator (his handiwork really does impress me!).

And, I see no conflict with evolution and Creation. God did bring both into existence.

God Bless,

I prefer to believe God who does not lie than believe man who changes his mind all the time. I am fearfully and wonderfully made not evolved. Evolution is a THEORY and I prefer the FACT that I did not come from a monkey.

Who said that we all don't? There are very many that do. That doesn't mean that God isn't responsible for evolution. You and many others have these strange assumptions about Christians that are very unfounded. Hopefully you've come to this forum to clear some of that up.
