You can take your date to a nice restuarant, just because your a non drinker doesnt mean you cant go there.... she would love that, but depending on the girl she is too .... A good meal and then a movie or a stroll along a nicely light street. By my experience a guy like you is hard to find you are few and far between ... girls love a guy who is able to talk sense during the whole of the date. Dont be scared and let her know that you are a non drinker...Have a good night....

A coffee shop like Starbucks. A nice atmosphere, yummy drinks, warm and inviting. A quiet little corner to visit in. A walk in the night air. Is the restaurant out because they serve alcohol? If so, you don't have to order it to enjoy the food and good company. Just a thought. Not a movie though, unless it's one you rented for home maybe. You can't really talk and enjoy each others company at the movies. People are funny about that! You hear, shhhh .... to much! Best wishes to you.

Just because you do not drink doesn't mean that a bar is out of the question. That would be like saying people who don't eat chicken should stay away from restaurants serving it. The place is just about the atmosphere.....what you choose to eat or drink there is optional. You should relax.....unless the drinking there bothers you...in that case you should make sure that you are telling this to the girl you date...so many places are "drinking" places nowadays and that could put a crimp in your dating life....or hers.

mmm. what do you mean by "if I am a non drinker" , are you trying to fool some poor lass from a lonely hearts corner that you are not a drinker, beacuse she has requested that?

if in reality you are a non drinker then you should go where ever you usually go, as you are not going to drink anyway. i do like the suggestion of you cooking a romantic meal, but as it is a first date perhaps a picnic in full view would be better- just in case you are an axe -murderer.

there are lots of fun and interesting places to go on a first date. Find out what she likes to do, and go someplace that she'll enjoy. Sporting events, fun parks, picnic outdoors, paintball, etc. Do something entertaining on it's own, it'll give you something to talk about without putting the onus on you to develop a conversation when you may be nervous. I wouldn't advise a movie, just because it's not condusive to talking.

Why is a restaurant out? Just order a non-alcoholic drink, last I checked most places still serve those.

There are hundred's of things you can do...and you statement that 99% of relationships start in pubs is not correct....I should know...I am a recovering alcoholic, and I once thought everything happened in bars...but now that I am sober, I know that is not the case at all...there is a huge world out there...get busy and check it out.

Take her to a comedy show or a play? During the interval, you could go outside for some fresh air rather than tha bar? My friend is a non drinker so he tries to arrange dates during the day, picnics, small fairs (We have a local fair in our area before xmas) bike trails, he arranges all sorts when he is dating.

For the first date, I'd go to like a coffee shop or a music/comedy club or something to that effect. Something that's small and casual and will give you two a good chance to talk to each and get an idea about each other.

Zoo? Public park? Somewhere you can stroll and talk and it costs little or nothing - obviously you're to cheap to take the girl for food or you think she's to hideous to spend the time of consuming food together. This time of year, most towns have a lot of free entertainment - fairs and things. Sure, some have alcohol, but they have alternatives. Use your mind, man!
