A fantastic fighter but has been on the slide for a while now, which is one of those things. Noone can be at there peak forever and hes just had his time now. He was very hyped but was also the dominant pouned for pouned fighter of his era so deserved the hype he was given. Unfortunately for him media types seem to like to build people up just to knock them back down again and it seens this is the situation he,s in now.

At his best, Jones was an all-time great. The lack of a major signature win does hurt his status, because overcoming adversity is a huge plus in one-on-one competition, but victories over Hopkins and Toney have earned him true legendary status.

I agree....he was the best #4# fighter in his time....all fighters will eventually get old and loose thier skills, so when they loose the last 3 fights of their career, we shoudnt degrade what they did in their prime. No one beat Roy in his prime, Tarver and Johnson beat Roy when he was on the downfall of his career, and every fighter has a downfall....unless they want to retire at the top of their game, but why do that???

He was a great fighter, but with all his talents he had a weak chin, which is a big minus in boxing.

Because he sucks. He never KO'ed any big names, much less beat any good boxers. He had a pretty weak chin too.
