Not at all. Life's very back to normal. Even on the day of the coup! (except for the sight of tanks and armed soldiers then)

My friend and I were there during the coup and it was totally a non issue. The Thai people were very unhappy with the prime minister and the king was in favor of the coup.

You see the military everyplace (Under Martial Law), but there are no curfews. Bars and clubs were open for business as usual every night.

The night of the coup.. people went to take pics of the tanks and soldiers stationed around the government district.

Of course the shopping never stopped either.

Curfew is lifted as far as I know. Martial law is still in place as of October 5, so if you go there don't join any parades or demonstrations. So, stay away from the beer bars. LOL

nO Curfews---in fact many bars and c lubs are open later now.
