You can talk all you want but they don't hear you. They are gone. Some in heaven, some in hell, but gone. If it makes you feel better to "talk to" a dead relative, go a head, but you're really talking to yourself.
Talk to God instead...He listens and will answer.

No, the people who claim they can do this are being decieved by evil spirits (demons) who are 'familiar' with the deceased and pretend to be them. Why they do this, it's because many people are looking for comfort and hope and news of the future, only god can give them those things, and demons don't want people to find that out. God forbids attempting to contact the dead in his bible, for our own good. I used to visit mediums and hold tarot parties, before I met Jesus then it all seemed like a really bad idea. My mate was a spiritualist who conjured spirits easily but she too felt it was wrong when she became a christian, so i'm speaking from experience, not just what the bible says

I used to be into some crazy things.I thought I was talking to the dead only to find out later it was an evil spirit. The spirit was very slick in making me believe it was my loved one. Until things started happening and by the things it did there was no way my loved one would have done any of them. The bible says to be absent from the body (death) is to be present with the Lord. So once your dead your dead. There's no coming back to talk to your loved ones.I thank the Lord He pulled me out of the darkness I was meddling with. Had He not have theres no telling where I might be.

I'm Roman Catholic, and we believe that dying is passing on to another form of life, spiritual for now, and the Resurrection later on. We believe that death brings us 'to the other side of the veil'. We can't see them, normally, but the spirits can see and hear us. So we can talk to them. It's true that they don't answer, usually.

We believe that there are two divisions of spiritual beings besides the people who have passed on before us, and those are good and bad angels. The good ones are positive and with God, and the bad ones are rebellious and hate us and are in Satan's league. If we get into the 'occult' and start messing in the spiritual world we could get in big trouble, because the bad angels are very slick and lie a lot and so could say that they are , say my uncle or someone, but it is not my uncle. It could be a lying angel trying to make trouble, but pretending to be 'good'.

I know other people believe other things, but this is what I believe.

Yes, but they won't hear you or respond to you either because they are dead, game over. You can try it right now and see for yourself.
That said I often talk to my dead parents, sometimes I get quite angry with them and sometimes I have a nice little rant about happy things and how much love I feel for them...but they are dead and they don't reply.

I believe they talk to us in our dreams. I lost a close relative a few months ago and since then I have had some particularly lucid and symbolic dreams. It's either my subconscious way of coping with grief or some spiritual influence is causing it and I tend to believe it is the latter.

I will not be sarcastic-too many people beat me to it.I don't believe you can communicate with the dead, but I can't help but wonder why someone would really want to?Aside from the whole drunken party Ouija board thing, that is.Wouldn't you just kind of pee down your leg if you got a response?

certainly anyone can talk to anyone they want to. however to receive an answer might be difficult for the dead are unable to provide the comfort and answers in our culture and society they can in others. remember different cultures and societies have different beliefs than others. would depend greatly on which culture and society one is reared in whether one believes or not.

the dead can speak one way.....from past recordings of written books, videotapes, art, and time capsules

when preachers speak to their converts, they are following a dead faith full of people who are dead inside with no spirituality

but to conjur up and speak to a dead person in real time? seeing or hearing is believing

in theory when you change your mind, you are dead to your old ways and alive to a new person....reading your journal is like having the dead speak to you to see where you came from, then write in it for when you will re-read later..
