in time i guess.
i took em awhile before they accepted that the solar system is heliocentric and not geocentric.
we're doing good so far we got the heliocentric thing down and the big bang now all we need is evolution and we can begin to dismiss theology all together.

I believe you are wrestling with your own faith.God is working on you and you are fighting it hard but it's obviously all you think about. God spoke and +*(BANG)*+ it happened. How could nothing blow up? Gases blew up and created all of the solid minerals, water,Oxygen,The sun formed perfectly positioned to warm the Earth. All of this should have created life everywhere. Why then only on Earth?I don't hide my email address if you or anyone else has a good explanation for this i would love to hear it.Why would something that never saw or heard evolve eyes and ears? the steps between (before a working organ) would do the animal no good.Where did the heart come from? A beating heart , the perfect pump. The creatures trying to evolve a heart could not survive until it was formed. I don't have all the answers far from it. I am actively seeking answers.I am open minded. I do not believe The bible is 100%accurate.But I have faith and believe in God. If i am wrong i lived a good honest life and helped my fellow man along the way and died without fear believing i was going to heaven and nothing happened. If you are wrong you still have to obey mans law .You lived a life that is like a blink of an eye even if you live to be 100. Then you Live forever someplace you really won't enjoy .What harm is there in working as hard to find God as you work to push him away. I am still praying for you my friend. carolinatinpan@yahoo.com

It's been proven? Somebody actually created a new universe in a lab and the experiment is repeatable?
I have no problem accepting the BB as a highly plausible working theory which describes the mechanics of creation. Under the scientific method, however, I cannot envision any cirucumstances other than, perhaps, time travel, under wihich it could be conclusively proven.
Even if it were proven, the BB would be a strong component in the teleological argument FOR the existence of God.

I tend to keep up on many aspects of the scientific community. The "big bang" has not been proven. Data is continually gathered to suggest that there was indeed a "big bang," but the data tends to be neutral enough regarding other theories that make it so NO conclusive theory exists yet. Dark matter and dark energy tends to be a big wrench in the works these days.
Regardless, I tend to lean towards the big bang theory. God is nothing if not spectacular, and that would have been pretty spectacular.

I'm not sure that the Big Bang can be proven, the same as we cannot prove that God (or if there is a God in the first place) created the world. I'm not sure if y'all have realized this, but both of these views require faith; since neither can be proven, we either believe that the world came into being by chance (the Big Bang) or by creation (God). None of us can actually go into the 'beginning' and prove either one.

The Bible said that God created the Earth. It doesnt rule out the Big Bang theory because either way the world had to come about somehow. I believe in science, and I believe in God. You can go both ways because the stuff of the universe was never just there. If you go back far enough, further than the Big Bang, you, like I , will wonder what started it all? Carbon, but where did carbon come from? From the Bang, but how did everything else before the Bang come about? "Science only goes so far. Then comes God" How easy it is to trip non-believers up,. And if they dont want to believe and dont care, why do they insist on trying to put doubts in believer's heads? If you arent with God, stop trying to trip us up when actually you are the ones getting tripped up. I think science was a gift from God to keep us occupied and satisfy on the wordly level, not to challenge our beliefs. But when it does, I think it strengthens our faith, not weaken it.

The Big Bang theory says everything came from a mass the size of a period. Where did that come from? No one can prove or disprove there is a God, but we can definitely prove the Big Bang theory is a joke. If you believe that I'll sell you a bridge. People like you remind me of cattle, mindlessly following the next dumb animal in front of you. Have fun in the slaughter house.

the only thing that has been proven is that your an idiot. Science proves the big bang does not work. every model that has been conceived fails. They now are resorting to imaginary time. It is really funny that when we Christians say that our beliefs are based on faith, you guys slam us. Yet when scientist say that they are hanging their theories on unproven ideas, you blindly accept it. Your faith is blind and your priests wear white lab coats. Continue to worship them if you choose or you could learn to think for yourself. At the very least learn what the facts are. I hope you have bliss, because you certainly have the ignorance to go with it. lol

Scientists can't explain the Cambrian explosion, and they are disputing Newton's Laws of Gravity, and they've proven the Big Bang? Doubtful. In 100 years, there will be lots of reasons that disprove the proof given in the last couple days.
When will atheists accept the fact that theories, hypotheses, and laws, are always wrong or have exceptions after their initial discovery?

I can't speak for anyone else but I have been totally changed into a different person than I was before I met the Lord, I have been healed twice of things the doctors could not touch, I have seen miracle after miracle that could not be explained away, so it does not matter to me what the scientist say, it's too late to tell me the God does not exist. I know him. I know he is real, he has changed my heart and my desires and my attitudes without me ever trying to change. It happened from the outside and not from any effort on my part.
So in answer to your question nothing has been proven to me except the power of God that was proven to me by a faithful loving awsome God, My Father and the Father of my Lord Jesus Christ.
