hahaha I thought about the same thing when naming my son. Also thought about naming him a number.. like, 10592.8 or something.. Too bad it didn't fly with his father. That would have been so original!

I don't think thats a good idea. A lot of people are realy into their religion and believe in god and jesus. Which u might be too but It's not a god idea becasue god is represented as a powerful person. Just stick to the regular names, or if u want a hippie name. whichever you prefer ;)

Yes, calling him "God" would be different. Jesus comes from the Hebrew Y'shua, and means 'God is with us'. Y'shua translates to Joshua, and there have been many people, both before and after, the one we call 'Jesus' with the same name. Y'shua got translated into Latin as Iesu, and then as Jesu, and it was the Germans who put the final 's' on it to make it Jesus. We still name people Joshua, not realizing that that is the same name as 'Jesus'. Anyway naming someone 'God is with us' is different than naming him 'God'. Even Jesus didn't not get named "God", but humbled himself.

That would just be setting him up for a life time of teasing. Besides most people who name their kids Jesus do not pronounce in the biblical way.

GOD. Be careful you don't spell it backwards.
Most people show enough respect not to blaspheme Holy One.
JESUS is not pronounced like Jesus in BIBLE but Spanish for Jesus-HEY SOO-US.

don't children have a tough road ahead without silly parents maing it worse -SUE?

God is a title, not a name, It would like calling your child President, or King.

Not that people haven't named their children such things, I personally wouldn't.

I personally don't believe in God, so go right ahead, but your kid is gonna be the butt of soooo many schoolyard jokes!

Just pick a nice standard name. God is already taken.

I guess it would be okay.........NOT. think of what crap the kid is gonna go thru "How come you can't do it? I thought you were God?" Give the kid a break and name it something normal
