I always wondered if God was all powerful then why couldn't He just snap His fingers and make it better? Why did Jesus have to die . Nobody could answer this question for me.So I searched it out for myself. God is a loving and merciful God but He is also just. The bible says the wages of sin is death. We have all sinned so we all deserve death. If God is just He has to punish sin with death because He can't lie. So instead of just wiping all of us out He loves us so much that He sent His son to die in our place so we had a chance to be reconciled to Him. As for the difference of beliefs in "religions" Christians believe in the old and new testament of the holy bible Jews believe in the old testament and Muslims go by the Koran

Why worship any Deity at all? None of them have any objective proofs or evidence. They all require the same amount of faith. Why not live life without the need of worshiping a God and instead place humans as the all important species. We need to come together as one in making our lives better and the lives of our children even better. We should stop being selfish to our own insecurities and live life in the real world.

each Religious Belief System varies a little from another. there are many Religions who do not believe the JESUS story which is their right. GOD is to big to be in one place. in spite of all the various differences in Religion through their Rituals, Ceremonies and Names they refer to GOD, the stories of explanation there are more similarities than differences as all are trying to get their followers to their destination which is the important thing not how we get there.

Jesus died to avoid wasting us from our sins. Jesus stated that we're to take communion. That His blood of the New Testament is shed for plenty of for remission of sins. Jesus wasn't sacrificed to anybody. He used to be sacrificed for our sins. He Is the Passover Lamb who takes away our sins. So that the dying angel won't kill our soul. When Jesus bore our sins, He used to be with out sin. So the wages of sin would no longer maintain Jesus within the grave. Jesus Soul (Word of God) went to the guts of the earth & took again the keys from dying & hell. Jesus raised from the lifeless. He conquered the grave for us. So God had His Only Begotten Son to be a sacrifice for us, to not us. Why do individuals reject Jesus sacrifice for us, and as an alternative deny Him, then sacrifice their possess kids to devils or kill themselves even as killing enemies in their god... Thinking that sacrificing themselves or their kids goes to avoid wasting their soul?!!! There is not any different sacrifice rather then what Jesus did for us, on the way to triumph over the grave. Only Jesus Christ Righeousness can redeem us. Only His Blood takes away all our sins and makes us Christ Righteousness earlier than His Father. When we're born of God, cleansed by means of His Blood; then the Father sees us clothed within the righteousness of His Son. The Father sees us as His desired kids. The Father offers us the gown of many colours.

The story of the resurrection is a beautiful religious metaphor to show that death is not something to be afraid of. That a man can die without fear is a great story. If the story was that god just told you not to fear death, it wouldn't be as persuasive as this version.

Because it is the Word of God, and for us Catholics it is dogma.
