Or just the bit in the middle? I've just made myself a sandwich, and have discarded both ends of the crusty baguette.

I know ive never been able to eat the knobbly bit lol it hurts my gums, i like the middle bit best and my brother and i always fight over it pathetic lol x

Well you've wasted the best bit as far as I'm concerned But you do what you want. If you feel like a bowl of soup ther knob ends fit the bill. Yummy eh? I always remember what my mam used to tell me, if you don'y eat your crusts your hair will never be curly. This was useless as I have always had GORGEOUS CURLY HAIR ever since I was a baby.

in a sandwich - yes but I love baguettes dipped in sour cream dips or flavored cheese spreads, then I always have the knob too

never waste any part of the baguette, eat the knobs with loads of butter!

I love it ..try dipping em into a cup of black coffee for awhile until it turns slightly soft. Then nibble it. you can actually smell the aroma of the coffee and the bread end..Try it..

Yes - perticularly in France where it is delicious - with French country butter - heavenly

mmm, yes indeed, best bit - especially with lashings of brie spread over it or if you don't fancy giving your jaw a good workout it's also delicious dipped in tomato soup

No. I always cuts the end bits off and throw them away. They are always hard and crunchy.
