However, how can you tell you are on the right track to wait for something or someone you wish for?

That's the whole point of patience being a virtue. Things you really want and wish for require patience. Would you rather something or someone come into your life when you aren't ready for it, couldn't handle it or aren't prepared to put 100% effort into it? You'll know you're on the right track when you start to see the things you really want and wish for turning out the way you hoped they would.

Patience may be a virtue but that doesn't mean you should use it on everything. If you can't tell what is worth waiting for then you need to start fixing the larger problem of not being able to figure out what the hell is going on, then worry about when to wait.

it depends upon the person u want to tell but normally patience with manners work. so just tel them really mannerfully, hope he/she will understand.

well if an oppourtunity comes take it waiting is an undifined time limit it could be 3 minute it could be 300 years
