Your brain tissue will indeed rot away-nothing is permanent and all matter is in a state of decay. The essential soul within you however remains eternally.

but your soul is not a function of your brain, any more than you are a function of your computer.

you do not cease to exist because your computer's CPU burns out.

Depends on whether you donate your body to science...

It could always end up pickled in a jar in some science lab, not sure if that is a better place though...

if they bury you like they did chinese (standing up) i guess your brain would eventually slide down to your bum .
so i reakon you should be buried lying down so your brain gently rots into itself .
