Great decision to give up smoking! It is one of the hardest habits to break. It ranks on the scale as herion, in terms of addiction.

Adding fruit to your diet can also add calories and sugar. Why not substitute some raw vegetables for 3 of the oranges. Although oranges are excellent they will up your blood sugar level quite a bit. Having 1 orange would be better.

Be sure to add 3 apples to your normal meals to help you lose weight. Apples are filled with fiber that take a lot of energy (calories) to break down. Apples use about 40 calories to digest than the actual calorie content of the apples.

So by eating the 3 apples your body is using an additional 120 calories over the calorie content of the apples. Are apples a super diet food or what!

You may also want to snack on sunflower seeds. Sunflower seeds have been proven to lower your nicotine cravings. It is suggested that you eat 1 ounce of shelled sunflower seeds daily. It's best to seperate the 1 ounce, place it in a baggie or container, then wrap up the bag with the rest of the seeds and put them away. If you keep the whole bag out, more than likely you will eat the whole bag-so hide it away.

Make sure that you are taking a good multi-vitamin and mineral supplement daily and drink tons of water.( my preferrred supplement company ( www.greenwoodhealth.net/team1 ) The vitamins and water will also ease your cravings and flush the nicotine out.

Good Luck!!

Eating fruit is good but if you're going to be eating that much fruit you might want to make your main meals a bit smaller, because fruit IS good for you but it's also higher in calorie than veggies, etc. Also, maybe try to incorporate jogging into your walk?

Fruit should be fine, as part of a balanced diet.

Go for an hour rather than half an hour walk, or 20 minutes exercise before each meal.

Good luck.

Walks aren't nearly enough of a workout.
Fruit is always good, but there are a lot of calories.
If you run 2 miles per day, ,6 days per week, you can eat anything you want.
