Hello,
As a Christian I am also experiencing this sometimes. You know it's the same like when you're talking to a man - you can just switch off if you're tired or something like that! As the previous fellow said: God knows you, and loves you - not depending on your perfection.
However, try not to just 'fall into' prayers, but meditating a little bit before starting to pray. Just think on God - you don't have to do this when you're talking to people 'cause you see them, but God can't be seen by physical eyes. Think on Him who you're going to talk to in a couple of seconds. And if you feel like using concentration just simply ask God to forgive you - as you would do when talking to a human! Man, God is real, so He is there and listens to you. Once you understand this with your heart you'll experience Him in your prayers! God bless you!

As for lack of concentration while listening to the sermon, try taking notes.
For lack of concentration in prayer, try to pray in a quiet room. It might help to read verses as a part of your prayer, even out loud. If you really can't concentrate, I don't think there is a set amount of time that a Christian must pray. Just shorten your prayer and pray more later.

It's ok. First off, it's cool that you notice and want to change this. Whenever your mind does wander just address why it's wandering and that can help you get back to concentrating.
It's healthy though and normal that your mind wanders. Elsewise you'd just be lukewarm and apathetic in your prayers. To refocus might give you the opportunity to pray with better attention. ^_^
Another good idea is to get a pocket prayer book. Sometimes we go to God without knowing what to say or even how to say it. Reading along and offering up your prayers to these prayers is a nice easy way to "cook book" it until you can pray without it again.

I have read many books which describe the bad results:
of smoking
of drinking
of running after women
so I made my decision to stop it....
I stopped reading.
By the way don't you have better things to do than going to churches? How many times do you want to listen to the shermon to learn all the words?
I have been many times but only priests are there..... I never saw The Boss...
ok.....once, was a Bishop....but the "Boss"..... nahhhhhh..

I too had that problem.
Ask for God's grace to pray at the start of your prayer.
As Rodger said praise God for all what He had done up to this moment.
Praise and prayer are the two wings of faith.
Definitely Satan will try to deviate you discourage you.
Because the Devil does not like you praying.
In fact he trembles when a child of God kneels down to pray.

try praying in Arabic - you'll have to concentrate on the words, the bending and kneeling, and you are sure to get a lot of attention in church, which will farther help you concentrate.

Perhaps this is the perfect time to thank God for all the great things He has done. Praise is part of our worship, and through praise the Holy Ghost shall touch you in prayer.

Imagine this is the last prayer you are ever to perform and after it you are either to be praised for it and go to Heaven or scolded for it and to hell you go. Imagine you will die right after it. This should help.

It's fine. Don't worry about it. God understands what's in your heart and you don't need an outline for your prayers. Just speak to God as you would speak to a parent.
