This morning I noticed that I had a quarter size reddish pink spot on the inside of my upper arm. It's doesn't hurt or itch. It's flat and there is no signs of a bug bite, flaking, or swelling. I also have one on my calf that is the size of a half dollar. I have Atopic Dermatitis but this not usually a symptom of it. They don't really have a defined shape but fade out into the rest of the skin. I've had 2 spots like these in the past. One was the size of a dime, also on my upper arm but on the other one and a small one on my wrist just a week ago. They usually went away in 2-3 days. My mother keeps telling me it's a bruise but it doesn't look like one. Bruises are painful and are usually purple or blue, then turn yellow. These just fade away.

Does anyone have any idea of what this could be? It's really bugging me and I'm starting to get worried. I have no health insurance at the moment and can't find any information on this type of spotting on the internet. Any help would be great.

Sounds like some sort of allergic reaction. My sister had something similar and it took a while to figure out what it was. She wound up allergic to fabric softener. Hers were not solid red circles though. It could also be some sort of dry skin? Try putting moisturizer on those areas to see if they go away. I would try somehow to see a dermatologist if you continue just to make sure. I know you don't have health insurance, but it is better safe than sorry. I wish you the best.

please ignore that answer above...jerks..anyways...do you sun bathe a lot...or outside in the sun frequently....if so it may be a form of skin cancer...but don't panic...there are more than one type of skin cancer and not all are dangerous...are your marks changing in size shape or color?? if so that is a good sign to get to the doctor and get checked out asap...if it is skin cancer you want to catch it as soon as you can (you might want to go to the doctor anyway) either way it goes you should have it checked out because even though it may not bE unhealthy stressing so much is...hope everything turns out for the best!
