I complain about the Maxwell House that the company provides, but I drink it anyway if there's nothing else around. In all seriousness, though, I've resorted to keeping a bag of whole-bean coffee in my desk drawer and I just munch on the coffee beans throughout the day. It keeps me from getting a caffeine-withdrawal headache, and I don't have to keep going to the other end of the office to refill my mug.

I work at a big law firm, so I think there would be a riot if there wasn't any "free" coffee. It depends on who makes the coffee, in general it's just "OK" (It's from Peet's Coffee). The first person who gets there in the morning is a woman from Europe, and she makes VERY strong coffee. I wait until later in the day to get coffee, because I'm a wimp! :-)

I work midnight to eight graveyard shift. The coffee that our company has is cains coffee and it is okay. But nothing will beat a good cup of folgers to wake you up in the morning. I am the type of person who will not for any reason pay $4.00 for a damn cup of coffee I think starbucks is a rip off. That company must have a CEO that is extremely fat.

Yes...The secret to a great cup of coffee is to add a pinch of salt to the grounds. This cuts the bitterness and enhances the rich taste of the coffee.

Too much disagreement on what constitutes good coffee..those who like water with a little coffee in it use the maker..rest of us order out.

I work for a primary care trust and we have a debt of 21 million quid, so in order to save money they took out all our coffee machines (they were rented) so we now have to bring our own.

Unlucky for me, we don't have coffee provided for us. This is a travesty, and it should be written in some law somewhere that all employers provide decent coffee. It would actually boost the economy.

I've learned to live with it. But, at the one newspaper I work at sometimes, they have a coffee bar where they serve espresso. I always miss that place....
