I went from dark brown to very highlighted blonde at home me and my mobile hairdresser, hair wasn't in particularly good health due to previous 5 lots of of hair extensions.
It's now quite short and layered from bra length.I hate it,but the condition is poor, its just like cotton wool.
I wash and condition it regularly, leaving the conditioner on,with my head wrapped in a towel for at least a hour each time trying to get some shine back into it.I'm so conscious of it when I'm out,it stops me going out socially.I do wanted to look good for my 6Oth ,hence the extensions in the first place. Now I've ended up with short dry over-bleached hair.I don't get lots of money and the shop wanted £llO.OO to strip colour and cut, what can I do which won't cost me a fortune and will make my hair look in better condition on my 6Oth on the 2nd Nov ,4 weeks awaymy daughter is treating me to a girlie weekend.I'm desperate.Should I get it striped,it it the only solution? Please help desperately seeking Susan

No thats ridiculous im a hairdresser and id charge the normal cut and colour price if its very damaged stripping it will damage it more.you need to get a few brown tones put through using foil and a 6 percent bleach(lowest) or go with a light brown all over colour it will fade fast though but untill it grows out not much else you can do hopee this helps

I am afraid the best way I can think to save your hair is to grow this all out and I realise you will not have time for this.
If you have it all stripped out and then recoloured it will be like starting all over again and it sounds as if this is your only option at the moment. Is there other hairdressers that may do this a lot cheaper as it sound expensive to me.
John freda intence conditioner is really good for your type of hair. Do you alternate your shampoo and conditioner by changing the brand i find changing is good ever so often.
Always use a seperate conditioner and shampoo never combined as they are pants.
VO5 is a really good hot oil conditioner and may help.
I put conditioner on put a plastic bag over hair tie it and heat with hair dryer as this gives a good deep condition try that.
Rinsing hair with a drop of vinigar in the final rinse give a shine.
I know some friends use mayo yes mayo as a conditioner and they swear by it never used it myself only on a sandwich.lol
I think you need to concentrate on growing it out and trying to get what you have in good condition.
Go to the hairdressers and have a good cut and concentrate on getting it conditioned well.
I hope you have a fantastic birthday and remember it is what is inside you that is important a good cut will make you feel a million dollers, a great outfit and your personality are what counts.
Good luck try conditioning with plastic bag/hotoil/hairdryer see what that does.

Don't wash your hair let the natural oils from your scalp condition your hair. you can wear a kerchief to cover it when you go out. It's best to let it get really oily let it stay that way but brush it every day. You can run it under cool water w/ no soap or other chemicals. the day before your 60th wash it with honey then do a vinegar and water rinse. Your hair will be really shiny and will look healthier.

For the future Don't wash your hair everyday and avoid putting chemicals in it. if you want color use vegetable dyes they don't destroy your hair.
I wash my hair once a month w/ honey and vinegar rinse. I have been doing it for years and my hair is very health rarely ever get split ends. If you do this your hair will get less greasy and you will not have the oil slick anymore.

Hello,
I would use a wash in wash out colour product, this will give your hair a quick shine.
I wouldn't personally do anything else damaging to your hair.
At other times don't use conditioner it doesn't help when your hair is damaged.. Use warm oil preparations, if they are too expensive you can buy coconut oil in a tub from the chemist, use in the same way as oil. Wash oil out with a mild shampoo.
Hope this helps.

Consider yourself fortunate that all that chemical over processing didn't result in hair loss. It seems obvious that your hair plays a major part in your body image, and if that's the case, I'd suggest that you splash out £110 and restore not only your self-esteem but restore your natural hair colour. I reckon that £110 is a small price to pay for a bit self-confidence in your appearance.

i could get a 2d opinion earlier spending a lot on extentions. in case you will get your hair right into a bun why can no longer they do an updo for you? i presumed that uninteresting hair became into less demanding to twist? i could be incorrect regardless of the undeniable fact that. Is there a yahoo solutions that possibly has to do with cosmotoligy (sp?) I recomend searching for that on right here because of the fact they provide the effect of being to have each thing in this internet site. solid success!

Get a cute short hair cut and start over. If you choose to dye it back brunette, remember to use a red filler with the color or it will turn gray or green. Good luck
