in case you have puzzled despite if that bottled water you have in storage is reliable after its expiration date, it in all probability is. The nutrition and Drug administration says bottled water could desire to have an indefinite shelf life. you will see expiration dates on bottled water, yet Stephen Kay with the worldwide Bottled Water affiliation in Alexandria says the industry is in simple terms following the regulation. And the regulations fluctuate from state to state, so the industry opts for expiration dates that are generally a pair of years from whilst the water replace into bottled. The water, as long as its been saved in a funky place and the seal isn't broken, could desire to be advantageous.

Technically most bottled water doesn't come straight from the mountains as advertised, it has preservatives and other additives in it to "make it healthier". Normal water however does not have an expiry date??? So you choose....

It is more to do with the life of the plastic. A lot of the time the expiry dates on cans and bottles are there to prevent consumption of the product once the container starts to degrade due to rust etc.

so they can sell more of it. if you listen to manufacturers, they say, oh don't drink it if it has stayed in the bottle a bit long, oh don't re-use the bottle to carry tap water around.
of course none of this has merit, apart from making sure that people throw away water that would be perfectly good to drink, and don't drink tap water (which is fine to drink, and much greener because it involves no transportation).

its just marketing rubbish and to stop the shop being sueing in 50 years time when you drink from an unopened bottle.
By giving it a useby date they are infurring its fresh when you buy it.
Water will go stale once its opened because of the growth of bacteria as its now in contact with oxygen in the air.
Personally, i ignore useby dates and make my own judgement.

Have you ever tasted expired water? It taste life the container it has been stored in. I keep expired water for emergencies. I live in the south and hurricanes threaten us, so I keep it around in my emergency supplies so I can still bathe if my water ever goes out!!
