previusly I was hearing that he does not trust women
& that he consider people the same , & that he never expect anything from any body so that he does not get hurt or disappointed .

The simple answer is just because one is paranoid doesnt mean they dont have a high level of intelligence. In fact, in history, some of the most intelligent people (edgar allen poe, for instance) suffered from paranoia and other mental illnesses. I know this from experience. I have a paranoid personality...part of it is that of mental illness (mental illness does not mean "mentally challenged" keep in mind) and part of it is the way I grew up and past experiences with other social relationships. It could very well be the case with your friend. As far as the mental illness aspect of it, many of us cannot control the thoughts that cross our mind...trust me i know, I have tried and tried without success. The only thing that helps is medication for me. The best way to describe paranoia is a vicious neverending cycle once it grabs hold of you...being sane enough to know that you are being paranoid but not quite sane enough to trick your mind into believing that.

Paranoid personality disorder is a psychiatric diagnosis that denotes a personality disorder with paranoid features. It is characterized by an exaggerated sensitivity to rejection, resentfulness, distrust, as well as the inclination to distort experienced events. Neutral and friendly actions of others are often misinterpreted as being hostile or contemptuous. Unfounded suspicions regarding the sexual loyalty of partners and loyalty in general as well as the belief that one’s rights are not being recognized is stubbornly and argumentatively insisted upon. Such individuals can possess an excessive self-assurance and a tendency toward an exaggerated self-reference. The use of the term paranoia in this context is not meant to refer to the presence of frank delusions or psychosis, but implies the presence of ongoing, unbased suspiciousness and distrust of people.

If you do the research you will find that there is a fine line between genius and mental disorder. And paranoia and depression are very common, I would know-...must mean Im a dormant genius.

Fact is people who are highly intelligent also tend to have a mental illness. Psychosis for example can be triggered by lack of sleep... they think too much I guess.
