And it does matter what other people think about my drink, especially girls. Don't even lie: a feminine drink on a guy plays a role as a turn-off on girls at the clubs.

I saw Old-Fashioned as top 10 manly drinks on www.askmen.com.

A muscular guy with strawberry daqueri, no offense but my first impression is that he's a homosexual who likes to work out.

What is Scotch/7? I like Scotch Whiskeys, and would love to order that, except no one seems to at "clubs" for some reason. Please explain.

I don't know about that. Suppose you see a big, tough-looking man at a bar, and he's drinking a strawberry daqueri. You going to laugh at him about it? It's not the drink, buddy, it's the man. The right man can pick up a lady in a bar, if there's one to be picked up there at all.

I tend to prefer oldschool drinks. Most new ones are just sweet fruity crap, which people then sometimes put expensive stuff in to show off, because the sugar being added destroys the subtlety of the spirits. I try to judge based on taste alone, but I do like the old drinks because there's something nice about drinking what generations of men before you have.

If you like scotch neat (that means straight) then just order that. Classic man's drink. Adding soda pop to the scotch does not make it more manly ;)

You might try a manhattan sometime, if you like whiskey based drinks. Its another old school man's drink. While I recognize some girls probably think its cooler to order some new drink with some overpriced vodka, I'd hazard a guess that at least as many more prefer guys who drink traditional stuff. Women are amazingly conservative when it comes to their tastes in men.

It'll knock your manly OR girly A$$ on the floor if you drink too many. LOL Why does anyone have to have an option about someone else's habits. Do what you want and FT

I've always been told that if a drink has more than 2 ingredients, is pink or comes with an umbrella, then it's a girly drink!

an Old Fashioned is an "old school" drink...... meaning you have to be in or around your late 60's to order one, let alone drink one!!
if your trying to impress some chick at a bar, man up & order a scotch/7.... & make it "top shelf"

scotch/7 means scotch & seven-up. trust me, if you tell the bartender you want a scotch & 7 they will know exactly what your talking about.... if you dont like the taste try ordering a jack/coke..... jack daniels & coke
good luck & dont get sick!!!!

I dunno. One time I saw a guy drinking something with an umbrella and it made me approach him. Later he told me thats why he did it!
Also, drink whatever you want at the club. You are there to relax and forget about your life's stresses for the night. If you're stressing over your drink it's hardly worth it! Go out and order what you like.. :)

It can go either way but, this drink is not very popular. I was a bartender and I had only served one and it was to a older woman.
