Am suffering from acute throbbing pain in my nail - seems to be located in the nerve - often colour tunrs bluish-purple. Due to a slammed door over my index finger some 20yrs back, I am suffering from acute throbbing pain in my nail. Been to many doctors and specialists. Even had surgery. No relief. One diagnosed that my nerve had been 'broken' - maybe severed, and this is causing the throbbing pain. Am taking Olfen - diclofenac for brief relief. Can anyone please assist? The pain is so acute that I am even considering amputation. Thanks
