If Republicans are flaming hypocrites, then why was the decision to drop both of the plutonium bombs on Japan made by DEMOCRAT Harry S Truman?
Hey, but don't let the FACTS get in the way of a good rant. Read a history book and you will find that America's involvement in WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam all happened when a DEMOCRAT was in the White House.
REPUBLICAN Ronald Reagan managed to defeat the Soviet Union without firing a single shot.
Shouldn't you and your boyz be playing video games or something?

they'll never use the bomb consequently: they do no longer choose a brilliant anti-usa of america ingredient initiating against them, think of roughly it, each and every of the hype that the U. S. and NATO are having with N.Korea and Iran over nuclear means, if the U. S. used the bomb, those talks could be over!! that they had bounce on the band wagon and initiate bombing whoever they needed(possibly the U. S.!), nuclear weapons are thoroughly out of the question here, this replaced into known in the process the Korean conflict, the place they have been questioning of using it, yet what if the U.S. desperate to offer the N.Koreans one to hearth too? no you may actually win in that state of affairs and neither in this state of affairs, no person wins while nuclear weapons are in touch, maximum politicians comprehend that.

There is only one country that has ever used nuclear weapons. The US. Japan in '45 in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Iraq in Gulf War I, Kosovo a little, and Afghanistan and Iraq currently.
Obviously, I'm talking about DU for all but Japan. However, the DU ordinance that was used in Iraq this time has the radioactivity equivalent of 250,000 Nagasaki Bombs. Half life of 4.5 BILLION years.
America is that country. The only one that has dared to commit such an atrocity against the world as to use nuclear weapons.

If we hadn't done it, then somebody else would have. Germany was close to making one. Do you have any doubts that the Nazi's would've used it?
Although regrettable, in addition to saving many American lives that would have been lost invading Japan, it did serve to teach the world that, as said by another poster, these weapons shouldn't be used again.
So, what we Americans (and I'm sure others too) are worried about is some religious fanatic who believes it's his destiny to bring about Armageddon and has no worries about using nukes because of seeing it as God's will (http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3304024,00.html). Or, some two-bit dictator (Kim Il-Jong) who is such a megalomaniac and mentally unstable individual that he wouldn't hesitate to drop one just to divert attention away from the fact that he's starving his people.
As far as the ducks go, they all have SARS so that's why we don't. ;-)

It's called the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. That's what we're worried about. Why don't you read up on it, wait until you grow up a little, THEN come back and try to hang with the adults?

The United States is the ONLY country ever to use a nuclear weapon on anyone, and it did it TWICE! Shameful, hypocritical, and totally inexcusable!

nuclear warfare isn't a toy, where everybody should be able to 'get in on the fun' so to speak.
Who cares who dropped one, they should never be dropped again by anybody.
