i love cruisers too, but one wine i do like is Omni NV, it's a sparkling white, very sweet and fruity. but don't stress, if you don't like wine then you don't like wine. no big deal. have fun trying to find one you like though!!

You could start with a dessert wine; I like Villa Mt. Eden's orange muscat. It's so sweet that you really don't realize you're drinking wine. An excellent white wine that everyone I know likes is Conundrum white table wine. It's produced by Caymus, but is found under the Conundrum label. It's best to start with white and move up to reds. I've been drinking wine for years and the way I found what I like the most was a couple of tours of the Napa Valley. This may not be practical for you but it's a great vacation if you have the time and money. My all time favorite wine is J Schram sparkling wine by Schramsberg .

Shiraz is nice but what you really need to do is go to a wine tasting. I don't generally like the reds and whites everyone else does either.....go figure why would I want to drink something that feels like it dries my mouth...yuck. I live near Napa Valley so wine tasting can be done almost anywhere. You might want to try a desert wine too. White Shiraz is a nice blush...I love Merlots, but not all of them....all time favorite... Peju has one called Carnival that is melt in your mouth incredible.....they also have a desert blend called Anjelica or Angelica...not sure on the spelling, my ex boyfriend just called Audra instead.....thought that was sweet....it was warm and sweet going down your throat....lol, like me, he he he

I believe wine is an acquired taste which I'm still working on. I can tolerate a small glass of White Zin but I prefer Reisling. It's the best I've had by far. Reisling has a sweet taste & doesn't make you feel cotton mouth like other wines.

U'll never find a wine as sweet as cruisers but a nice gentle red wine to start with is a 'Pinot Noir'. Its a very delicate red n shouldn't over power u. Good luck finding a nice white wine! yuk!

try a gewertstraminer. riesling is good too. however gewertstraminer ( i hope its spelled correctly ) is slightly fruitier and sweeter. appreciating wine will take some time. try it with cheese and some charcuterie. it enhances the flavor of wine and actually makes it alot sweeter. tasting things with wine also hides the parts that can be unfavorable about the taste of wine such as tannins and high alcohol content. choose a wine that best suits your taste buds and you'll eventually want to venture out.

You could start by drinking a nice Riesling (from Germany), they taste slightly sweet with citrus flavors.
Or enjoy a glass of Asti Spumante, an Italian sparkling wine that's slightly sweet as well.

I know what you mean I never drank reds before thought they were crap but now I love them.
The guy at the bottleo suggested a red wine called TR2 it is very mild and soft, put a couple of ice cubes in it to chill, it is a beginers red. What it does is adjusts your palet to acept reds. I dont believe in going straight into cab savs merlots or shiraz's you need to aquire a taste for red. Any way TR2 converted me ohhh and one other thing .....be picky with your choice of reds..........annies lane...yellowtail...brown brothers are a few good ones ..give it a go!!!!!!!

Maybe you should try a dessert wine because they are not that bad, they have a sweet taste to them instead. I didn't like wine until I ahd tried dessert wines or sweet wines. here is a link to a website that has the top 10 dessert wines. enjoy.

Try a Syrah or a Cabernet/Franc. It might be the oak you are tasting, try an unoaked or 'steel' wine. Sweet (#1 or up) wines may appeal to you also.
