In chapter 40 verse 22 of the book of Isaiah we read:
“It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.” (KJV)

oh my goodness, you are something else. When was the King James Version publically distributed? 1611. When did Columbus sail the ocean blue? 1492. That's right, back when people thought the Earth was flat. How could they have "KNOWN" this from the Bible when it had not been PRINTED YET?
edit - Sorry - I meant to say when was the KJV first printed and distributed. Where does the bible "clearly state" this? I am a bit of a Biblical scholar, and I don't remember ever seeing that before.

The Bible "clearly" states that the world is round? That's not true, it suggests the world is flat:
Job 38:13
"that it might take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it?"
Sphere's don't have edges, a flat earth does.

There's no such thing as an 'evolutionist' -- that's a label that creationists devise to make it seem as if there's a choice in belief systems. Unfortunately, many scientists have taken the bait and unwittingly played into the hands of fundies by adopting the label. We have science and we have non-science. No one goes around saying they're a 'gravitationist' because they 'believe' gravity keeps us on the earth. It's just a fact as is evolution -- albeity, the model is constantly being molded to adapt to new data and understanding (which is the basis of the scientific use of the term 'theory').

You realize not only that you are completely wrong, but that the Bible actually contains evidence of a flat Earth, and the main reason why people kept the belief that the Earth was flat was because the Bible suggested it and the Church enforced it, don't you?

A circle is flat. The Earth is a 3-dimensional sphere.

Actually, the Greeks not only knew the earth was round, but estimated it's circumference with surprising accuracy long before the bible was written.

Why to evolutionists?
The bible also condones slavery, does that make it right to? I'll go and sell my daughter then.
