Immersion in a spanish speaking culture. If you go to Mexico for a few months in the summer, you'll learn it fast because there are fewer english speakers which removes your ability to fall back on english as a crutch. The sink or swim phenomenon at its best.

But if you don't have time to go to Mexico, I recommend go to your local bookstore/ library and checking out some spanish workbooks. Also, watch as much spanish-speaking television and listen to spanish radio stations as much as possible.

It really depends on how much time you have...

Sign up with Rosetta Stone - they are on the web. They have an excellent tuition/study program - and it's not too expensive. It's a study at home situation. Just ask for their demo in Spanish. Also ask your co-workers to only speak to you in Spanish. You'll be a native in no time. Good luck!

If you have any spanish speaking friends to hang around that should help. Get some books and some cd's that can help you too.

The fastest way to learn any language is to actually use it. like speak in it as frequently as you can. practise makes perfect and talking in that language will only build your confidence in it hence enable you to learn more as an individual and through the one that you are talking to.
