Is Being Fat A Dealbreaker?

Question

Ok - so I'm fat. Like 5'7" and 250lb. I'm not attracted to fat women, I like petite smaller women. Is this usually a dealbreaker? I am usually nervous to approach women I'm attracted to because I feel like they'll reject me so I go after the bigger girls but I'm not really attracted to them and I feel like I'm lying to them. I know the easiest answer is to work out - which I'm doing - but this takes time and I want some action before next year ;-)

So the question here is . . . how big of a deal is it to girls if a guy is fat?

It depends on why you are fat I suppose. If you are fat and lazy and don't do anything to change your situation and you are genearlly unhealthy, it would be a major problem for me. But, say you are an athlete and you are fat and muscular at the same time... then that's not bad.

Also, maybe you are just fat because you've had a moment of inactivity and poor choices and you are really ready to get out of your rut and are taking measures to become healthier, then that would be acceptable.

For me, it's not as much about being fat as it is about being unhealthy in general. I really value health a lot, and I believe that if you care about yourself you also care about your health. I think if you let yourself get really fat, then you aren't doing everything possible to keep up with your health, and so you don't really care about yourself for whatever reasons, but usually those reasons are added baggage to a relationship, surmounted by the self-esteem issues that come with being fat, and I just think that anyone with those problems can't fully give themselves fully to me, they can't fully care about me because they don't fully care about themselves.

Anyway, in terms of just getting some action though, I personally like really tall and lean men. Everyone has different tastes though and ultimately it is more the personality and confidence that is attractive in a person, and being fat isn't a deal breaker for women necessarily. Say you are a very outgoing and fun-to-be-around fat guy and you are confident and flirtatious... you'd get a girl of any size... but if you are awkward and nervous and not sure of yourself, then not many girls will want to be with you, unless they are also unsure of themselves.

And good for you for working out and trying to take control of your body.

i don't know, do you have a lot of money? No just joking. In my experience woman usually are better at overlooking the physical aspect of a person. By design we are coded to chose a mate that we feel will be able to protect us in danger and provide for the family. If you are drop dead gorgeous then that's even better. Personally, i'm an average size woman and have dated all sizes of men. The reason i haven't gotten into a relationship with an overweight man is because the couple i dated had such low self esteem it just made them unattractive overall. i think if you have confidence in yourself it will shine through and the weight wouldn't be an issue.

Does not say anything about you caring for yourself! If you do not care about YOU, how should anybody believe that you would care about them?

Worse, your issues has a simple solution, SHUT YOU MOUTH!

The less you put into it, the less that will be on your ribs.

Fat girls do not seem to turn you on and I am willing to bet that there are not too may young ladies that are looking for an over weight male!

whether your fat or skinnny, tall or short, smart or.. dumb, you also deserve to be loved and if this particular girl doesn't like tell her to leave it... at the end of the day she isn't worth your time and effort... find yourself some1 who will love YOU for who YOU are!
