Believe me if you have just given birth the last thing on your mind is sex!!!
I could not even think about it until weeks afterwards!!
I think the time is supposed to be 6 weeks, but if you feel your not ready then wait a bit longer!

At least 6 weeks.
After that, it's when she feels she is ready. Sometimes women go off sex for months after they have given birth. If this is the case you should wait patiently until she feels ready.
Focus on her needs instead of yours.

Most doctors recommend no sex for six weeks after a natural birth. Realistically, you should wait at least a month. If it was a C-section, then you can do it that night if you want to. Sorry buddy, hopefully she can take care of you in other ways or you will have a lot of dates with your computer for the next month.

Have a heart and give the girl a break,shes just had a baby and needs to rest and all you wanna do is pork it again.Wait for 5 to 6 weeks before shoveling another load up there.It could be sooner though depending on how shes feeling..

Give the poor girl a break - giving birth is harrowing. If it is a c section then the stitching will be hurting like hell, if not the other stitches will be hurting like hell. Give her a chance to recover, when she is ready you will know as long as you let her know you still find her attractive.

I gave birth to my first daughter,left the hospital 6 hours later,then had sex the same night.I felt fine.I was trying for my second daughter!!! I wanted two close together.So I had one in 1993 and one in 1994!!!

you are suppose to wait at least 6 weeks to give her body a chance to heal,, but after each of my kids i could only wait a month,,, then it was still pain ful,,,
after 6 weeks she may not feel like being in the mood,,,

I think u have to wait 4 or 6 months, otherwise she will get pregant again!!
