I think e-mailing once a day is perfectly fine. Wait until he e-mails you first in response to your e-mail that you previously sent him. If you're e-mailing him e-mails like "Why haven't you called?" or "Why haven't your written back?" Those sound like desperate e-mails and you don't want him to think you're pathetic with nothing else better to do. You can show your love in a few worlds like, "Hey! How are you doing? I just wanted to e-mail you to tell you I miss and love you." Some kind and cheery notes like that. Or you can always e-mail him every other day, but don't e-mail to the point where you don't have anything to tell him because you told him everything in 5 e-mails during one day. Another thing that can really work is sending those electronic cards. When my ex-boyfriend was serving in Iraq, he loved getting electronic cards from me. I would always type in short messages telling him "I love you", "I'm thinking about you" and so forth. He may like that, it's a very nice and kind gesture.

It's not how many you send, but you send in them... If you are giving in your e-mails, then it's not being needy. But if each e-mail is, "why haven't you called me... where are you... why this and that" and all whiny, then you sound needy and like a nuisance. But if you're e-mails just tell of your day and say something supportive and giving always like, "I hope you are having fun, I am thinking about you a lot and really wish you well in your travels and hope you come back safely" then he'll feel really happy and warm when he reads the e-mails. What guy doesn't want to hear from his sweetheart as long as she is being just that... what they don't want is a naggy *****.

No emails...wait until he responds or calls.
Emails suck because you send it and you can't stop thinking about it...did he read it yet?....is he mad?...do I seem to needy?...what did I write again?....did he take it the wrong way?...

End the torture! Quit being a xxxchicken (ha) and call him or go DO something besides think about him all freakin day and let him call you.

...but that's just my opinion! :)

Too many? God I don't know. It depends on if you are emailing back and forth (like chatting) or if you are just emailing him over and over. If it isn't a responsive communication than I would say one a day is good.

Once a week unless there's an urgent message to relay.... that way when you do send a message you'll have plenty to tell him about the week .... also let him miss you a little....

well i think that you should not send mor than two if he has not yet responded. usually you write, then he replies or vice versa. i know it can be hard to be away from someone, but you dont want to smohter them, even if its just with emails.

once a day should be more than enough. That's only IF she has responded to you and you are responding back to her. BUT if she has not responded to you yet then wait it out as other have stated.

no more than a few a day, depending on how he responds back I believe. If he responds quickly than go ahead and replay back.
