Cheating is anytime that you share an emotional or sexual release that involves another person and you don't include your partner in the process. It could be as extreme as sex, or as minute as sharing thoughts, emotions, and feelings that you don't share with your significant other. Cheating is not just about something that you do, it is about something that you hold back from someone.

People seem to like to think that men are not as bothered by cheating as women are. Personally, I think men are bothered by cheating, probably just as much if not more than most women, but men seem socially expected to move on more quickly than women, and it is not socially acceptable for a man to sulk about a woman cheating on him - he must take action. Women, on the other hand, generally tend to turn to other people to understand why the man cheated, and it is much more socially acceptable for her to be upset. It would make sense if men are encouraged to deal with their problems in a solitary way, that they wouldn't value emotional interactions as highly, and thus might not see certain emotional cheating as such - though that has lots of exceptions to the rule. Men generally also don't seem to value length of relationship as much as excitement in comparison to women, and become bored, and the cowardly ones then cheat. It could have something to do with biological / evolutionary factors, but I dont know this for sure. These are just observations.

I thing any person would feel cheated if the trust of love i.e a love & sex relationship between a guy & girl is distrubed. while others things like if some one has cheated a friend for money that would be hurtful

Cheating to me is having "feelings" (ie, love) about someone who isn;t your spouse and acting on them. Like having a romantic relationship with them, kissing, touching private areas and of course sex.

Flirting can be done in moderation, but not to the point were you are consumed with it. Me and my boyfriend "friendly flirt" with other people often, but it makes us want each other more. But if he were to act on that flirt, then it would be cheating.

Im not forgiving of even kissing another guy if your my 'girlfriend' If your mine, loyalty is key. If you want a hookup buddy rather than a boyfriend, express that and then theres no problem. Touchy issue for all though.
