Because they have to remain light to fly, they cannot carry around excess amounts of water which weighs them down. Consequently they are very efficient and only carry with them what they need to use for their metabolisms. They do not have excess water which they carry in a bladder like we have... they just drop out their very concentrated urine (more like a paste) as soon as its ready for expulsion. In our urinary system, the urine comes in and we also take excess water and expel it... the birds just take the water back into their system so that they don't lose it because they only drank enough to get them through the rigorous strain of flight.

Their vagina/penis and anus combined and it's called a cloaca, and their excrement is a combination of liquid and solid waste. Lizards and fish have cloacas although fish cloacas are called anuses.

Since birds evolved from theropod dinosaurs, which evolved from lizards, they share similar "plumbing".

Mammals are more ancient than birds. Mammals evolved from early four-legged amphibian-lizards and have had more time to evolve 2 separate thingies in their you-know-where.

Birds may have evolved from dinosaurs in order to better hunt the ground-dwelling mammal rodents from the air. Birds continue to attack us to this day by pooping on us and our automobiles.

All reptiles and birds only have one exit, which is used for toilet as well as for breeding, they do not have Vagina's or penis's at all. the only difference is birds drink & thats why it looks sloppy reptiles do not drink so theirs is dry.
