It actually depends on what kind you like and/or what they have.
They have oolong, jasmine tea, flower tea, and many others.

Sometimes oolong or jasmine. I would call the place where he enjoys that great tea, and ask them what kind it is - maybe even the brand as well as type of tea. They will probably be delighted to hear how much it is liked and tell you the kind right away. I have done this at several places - and have even gotten some great recipes that I have enjoyed.
I am a tea drinker too, it is so much better than coffee.

Yes, you should get the answer from the restaurant your dad often goes.
The first thing we (Chinese) order is what type of tea we want the restaurant serves us and we ask the restaurant what kind of tea they have there too, just like you order drinks before you order food. Sometimes we order 3 different kinds of tea for 10 of us.
If you want to know more about Chinese tea and how to brew Chinese tea, google this website.

Most places tend to serve either oolong tea or jasmine tea or green tea. They tend to be the most popular of teas. Although some places if you ask will serve you Sweetened Cysanthumum tea. Which is also really good

oolong green tea is a favorite. I am married to an oriental and the tea is wonderful. I have actually experienced a great feeling in my body that is close to a high of its own, when drinking ollong green tea. Enjoy

once you bypass to a chinese language eating place, they generally serve the two oolong or Jasmine tea. Many dimsum place, you could quite request your tea, which includes chamomile, or jasmine or others. definite, you could desire to purchase it at many save, adventure Safeway has somewhat Asian nutrition area, and you will get the tea from them. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, i might advise a save call "Ten Ren Tea" that has all style of chinese language tea available. they have many places interior the bay area too.

hate to tell you, but chinese restaurants don't all use the same tea nor tea brand. Why don't you just ask the wait-staff or owner or receptionist/host at the restaurant where your dad likes the tea?

It's either green tea or jasmine. Green is a little bitter. Jasmine has a nice fragrance.
