I am a Vietnam veteran. I wasn't drafted because I volunteered. I would be unlikely to be drafted because I am too old if it happens now.
However, if I were given a chance to volunteer to serve in combat I probably would go.

There is no draft. It was ended by Richard M. Nixon in 1973 while Don Rumsfeld was his Sec of Defense. The legislation to bring back the draft was authored by Democrats in 2004, specifically Charles Rangel of NY.

I'd make sure all the immigrants got drafted first, make them earn their right to be here, illegals too. Hell you dont need to speak english to iron sheets or scrub pots and pans. (their pay is to stay and serve a country that didn't want them in the first place!)
I already served my country, can't draft me this time. I'd be worried about my son though.

well, I'm a 33y.o. woman, so probably would be out for draft, however I would be worried about my husband and 2 young boys, so I would leave the country, for good!

Join the hospital corps, then i could live like Hawkeye, or Radar and all of my favourite *M*A*S*H* characters, oh and I'm well aware that that was the Korean war, but it's still what I'd do! either that or the navy...

i wouldn't want to go fight for a another country....i would want to stay here and protect my own....if they can teach you to seek and find the enemy..in a far off country....why are there so many terrorist living here.....why can't they let us seek and find them here....all that fighting in other countries are just to plant our flags all over the world....why did we not go in and stop all the killing in Africa....cause we get nothing in return.... but we got cheap labor and goods from Vietnam......i am willing to die for my freedom...but i think Iraq had nothing against me going to work Monday morning and speaking my mind....you can put me in jail....that way i wouldn't be killing anyone for no reason.....

Grab as many condoms as possible and party with their girls in that country when there is nothing to do. Loved it!, back then.
