If the program is installed, you can't. When programs install they mesh with your registry. You can't get all the files.
If you have downloaded a program, always download to the desktop on a limited account. Burn the prog to cd before installing.

if you are talking about a program that is installed and running on your PC, copying to a CD is imposible as most programs tend to put operating files in several places in order for it to run (most games also do this).
if you still have the original program file (eg. if it was downloaded there is normally a file that you double click to install) copy that to the disk, if not then it's not worth the hastle.

None of those answers will help unless you 'unlock' the files in the programme first as they are designed not to be copied. On a Mac, select all the files in the programme and then Apple-click and choose Show Package Contents and unlock them from there. On a PC, right click and look for something similar.

Simply put a writeable CD in your CD writer drive.
Using "My Computer" you can drag the file onto the CD drive.
Then right-click the CD drive and select the burn option.
