Type this in your google search bar "site:apple.com how to use an ipod" without the " " marks. You'll get a list about ipods in apple.com

first go to www.apple.com and follow the links that have to do with the ipod, and that should take you step by step to everything you need. But you do need itunes

you can also use the latest version of real player. i find it more easier to use than itunes

you need "itunes" to inser music into ur ipod
