A man lives on the 19th floor of an apartment building. When he goes to work, he always uses the elevator to travel to the lobby. But when he come home at the end of the day, he has a choice to make:
If it is raining outside, he gets into the elevator, and travels to the 19th floor, and goes straight to his apartment.
If it is sunny out, he takes the elevator the the 12th floor, and then takes the fire stairs up the remaing floors to his apartment.
Why does he do this?

He is a midget, and can only reach the button 12 in the elevator unless he has his umbrella, at which point he can reach button 19.

when its sunny he cant reach the button for the 19th floor, but when its raining he can press the button b/c he has his umbrella
