I think they are a little smaller than horses, but I read somewhere that because of the stripes, it makes them aerodynamically capable of running faster than horses.

I suppose so, but I think zebras are a little smaller than normal horses, or horses in races which are HUGE. There was a movie about a zebra in a race though forgot the name... had some strange glasses on him...
Yes! I am thinking of that movie! Thank you woman down there!

Has it occured to you we already tamed the easily domesticated animals. Training a zebra almost always fails, they've tried. They aren't particularly fast and would really only be good for races against other zebras, they run in very short bursts. They're also much more closely related to asses than horses. they have a different body shape and conformation.

Zebras may look like horses, but they are wild animals and deserve to be treated like such. After all, no sensible person would try to turn a wolf into a pet. A zebra just wouldn't take to trailers, stalls, grooming, shoeing, tattooing, being poked and prodded by vets, etc. that are all in a day's work for a race horse.

Since the movie Racing Stripes too many people do not do their research and purchase Zebras. They are wild animals not domestic, and are very aggressive.... not to be ridden. Since the movie there are Zebra rescues popping up all over the place. They are NOT horses!! Please check out Thunder Hill Rescue in Ohio to learn more about these animals and how once people finally get that they aren't horses and aren't to ridden and are aggressive, they are being abused and neglected due to other peoples ignorance. Please don't one of the ignorant, do your homework, the animal deserves it.

Zebra's kinda have real short legs. Plus they're wild so i wouldnt think they'd normally let u ride them..cept in racing stripes lol but thats one talented zebra. although the racing outcome was quite obviously rigged and a non thoroughbred wouldnt be allowed to race in a TB race due to lack of membership to the thoroughbred racing association.
i guess. :-D

only in movies. Their legs are too short for one thing. They do not have the endurance of horses. Zebras are not allowed in horse races.
