Females generally have thinner vocal cords than males. A thinner cord will vibrate faster and emit a higher-pitched sound than a thicker one. When a gal has the flu, sometimes there is swelling of the vocal cords, which makes them thicker -- and therefore her voice will sound more like a guys.

Lolol. I think somebody has to explain to you that some women have naturally "throaty"and low pitched voices . Even regular pitched female voices change naturally. When one sleeps and the vocal chord are relaxed, voices sound deeper when they start talking againwhen they wake up. Have you ever heard of the term "bedroom voice"?
