Yes. At least I want to believe that there is. I am not having an easy time finding my hope tonight. I don't want to bore you with my whole personal history, but I have always managed to have hope and to focus on the possible rather than the ideal. It's never been about what I want, only about what CAN happen.
And tonight I can't find my hope. Answering questions usually inspires me to say something hopeful, something about love or about understanding, but tonight I've scolled through page after page of questions not finding any that made me feel moved to write a good answer. I answered some with sarcastic remarks, threatened to report a few people, and looked through pages upon pages, finding nothing. Finding nothing inside myself to give. And nothing to give means no hope.
But I found THIS question. It says that someone else wants to have hope. Maybe there are a few people left who want to have hope. That's all we've got to work with. If we run completely out of hope, we're lost.
I would like to say that I'm just being dramatic, but the fact is that if there are only a few isolated people who want to continue having hope for humanity, they can get overwhelmed and run out of energy. Without some kind of support network, no one can hold out for very long trying to stay hopeful in a world where all hope seems lost.
You are the hope. Find others and help each other stay strong.

There is hope, but until we can all learn to get along and respect each other's opinions and beliefs,we will stay on this path of self-destruction.We all need to pull together to make the world a better place. It could be done, but since it never has happened(not fully, and not for very long),we don't stand a chance.Neither does the poor, undeserving planet and the rest of the life on it.

You are correct. However, there will be three and a half years of tribulation first.
The hope for humanity is for the ones who repent and start to live according to the willl of the Father and Christ.

Yes, there are stories of cruelty. They get more sensationalized than stories that are positive. Do something to help others everyday. Don't let the negativity get you down.

Well the bible does say that in the end times, because inequity abounds, the love of many will grow cold. Something happened inside me because of those girls in the Amish town being murdered. I mean...are these people the most peaceful group around or what...and he just gunned them down. I burst into tears tonight. I'm so tired of the violence, the hatred, the killing, people are furious and insane. Please come, Lord.

I think this is more of a commentary on modern media's desire to fulfill a public's need to know that others suffer as much or more than themselves, not a second coming.

I agree that things are pretty bad these days, but don't forget that things can still get worse, much worse.
