You will find the right guy someday. I'm bipolar and i met some of my closest women friends at bipolar support group meetings. You have to be cautious, though. Lots of us don't use very good judgement sometimes.

Perhaps you might want to lay off off confessing the heavy stuff when you meet people. Most people don't understand what this is like, nor do they want to, especially if if they are bombarded with it in the first five minutes of meeting you. I can understand why you would like to be upfront, but there is plenty of time for candor as a friendship/relationship developes. This is what is referred to as "need-to-know" basis. You claim to be a great person, which I have no doubt is the truth (don't forget some very smart, artistic, and talented people suffered/suffer from some form of mental illness), so why not put that forward rather than something that might put people off?
Another suggestion? When the time comes that it's deemed appropriate to confess, try using your sense of humor about it. It will put people at ease to know that you are ok with it.
I wish to congratulate you for recognizing that something was wrong and doing something about it. So many people ignore the symptoms and further themselves into trouble. I wish you well and hope everything works out for you.

this could be a sort of Questions the place one tries to to come to a decision it is undesirable & it is Worse... And in step with what i've got examine & suggested- this is possibly quite on the edge of being a toss-up. Inititially- i could've stated that Schizophrenia replaced into the greater dibilitating of the two maladies- if basically because of the fact there replaced into so plenty greater destructive information approximately it. yet as Bi-Polar disease has grow to be better understood, the line of "Seriousness" between the two psychological ailments- has grow to be progressively greater "blurred..." the reality IS, they're the two very complicated & extreme psychological ailments- to the quantity that no person could desire to be bothered by the two!

there is no reason to blurt out your entire medical history on the first potential date. Let them see what a good person you are then later if it gets serious then tell them. I am bipolar and married for four years.

those guys run out of pure ignorance! if bipolar disorder is treated properly then you will be leading a very normal and happy and productive life! if things get serious and a commitment is on the way then ease them into it. if he is a keeper he'll stick around no matter what!! good luck!!

The right guy will understand...but get to know them for a while so they can see how you are. It is better to not hide it once the relationship has started gtting serious though.

You are not getting the proper treatment. Find a better Clinical Psychiatrist. You must be able to live normally if you get the right treatment.
