When I started Y!answers I tried to be really polite- now I notice myself being more of a smart*ss. Am I numbed to it all?

well politeness usually works out great for people, but on here there are so many smarta** questions that really you'd have to be a smarta** to anwser them. Its probably fun for u also because in a normal day you are probably really polite to people to their faces and on here u don't have to be or worry about what they think.take care

I was a perfect gentleman when I started here.
Now, I take great delight in raking people over the coals when they deserve it.
There are many people here with serious attitude problems,
raging hormones, or room-temperature IQs, who deserve nasty answers.
Unfortunately, they tend to be incapable of understanding sarcasm which is aimed at them. Some of them will read this and think that I am talking about somebody else.
(Here I sit, waiting for a bunch of negative feedback)

I dont blame you there can be some really stupid questions I just answered one about feeding a wild bear (It not a good idea to do that) Everyone nows something that someone else doesn't though
You should Make up for it by writing nice answers
