There is God who love us so much that He sent Jesus to die for us so we can be together again & have relationship & not religion henceforth.
There are religion that give you a manual & you work out your own salvation yourself... some have no god at all & some have their gods are high & mighty that you are not allowed to relate personally with them.

It sounds as if many people are confused as to the difference between a Church being a physical building, or place to meet, and Religion. If a particular denomination is exclusionary, than I believe they are not worshiping God as we should, because , God is Love, and He Loves us all, with out exception. It is important to separate the physical building of a Church, from the belief of all the worshipers who attend services in that building. I too have seen situations where all the members of a particular congregation dressed alike, thought alike, and acted alike. They also believed that money was the root of their religion, not Jesus. They are comfortable this way I guess. Does not mean they are not Christians, or that they are not saved, just that perhaps their hearts are not as open to Gods will as they should be. God recognizes us, and hears our prayers whether we are alone in the desert, on a mountain top, or in a building filled with 1000 worshipers. He hears us every one, and that's how we come to him, through Jesus, one on one. If you have a bad experience at a church, or it does not seem as warm and loving to you as you expect, than go to a different church, or synagogue, or whatever , but seek out people of a like mind as you, and you will find peace, and God in these places.

We should understand that just as we can cross a river either by swimming across or taking a boat or a steamer or a hovercraft -- all religions serve the same purpose....vehicles to lead us to God. No religion is superior or inferior. Read the life story of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa of India the guru of the famous Swami Vivekananda.

Throughout history, theologians have often distorted the Bible. Consider some other ways in which the religions of Christendom have misrepresented what the Bible says.
Misrepresented by Religion
The actions of those who say they follow the Bible often besmear the reputation of the book they claim to revere. So-called Christians have shed one another’s blood in the name of God. Yet, the Bible admonishes followers of Christ to “love one another.”-John 13:34, 35; Matthew 26:52.
Some clergymen fleece their flocks, wheedling hard-earned money from them-a far cry from the Scriptural instruction: “You received free, give free.”-Matthew 10:8; 1 Peter 5:2, 3.
Clearly, the Bible cannot be judged according to the words and actions of those who simply quote it or claim to live by it. An open-minded person may therefore want to discover for himself what the Bible is all about and why it is such a remarkable book.
For example, even the most literal-minded astronomers today will speak of the “rising” and “setting” of the sun, stars, and constellations-although, in fact, these only appear to move because of the earth’s rotation.

That's a good question.
You know the God of the bible (king james, Niv, ect) is the only God who speaks of loving His creation, and states that we can do nothing to earn our way into to heaven. It is a gift given because His Son was our atonement.
Other religions tell you what you need to do in order to earn that god's approval, and through out your whole life you will never know if what you are doing is good enough for him. It's like you wait to die and then this so called god will judge you.

Herein lies the difference between religion and spirituality. Religion is the outer expression of an inner sense of Something Greater. Spiriuality is that sense, but people create religion. God is perfect Love, which means that all our sufferings and what we think is tragedy, all are illusion...no harm can come, for harm only exists in dreams; There is only God, and God's Beloved. (Us).

I have found that most organized religions have little to do with god or any higher power..they are not love or understanding, peace, equality, tolerance, acceptance. not to say that people who belong to organized religions are not spiritual, most are. I just think that when you talk about the higher ups (of the human kind) in organized religion and with "church" doctrine and dogma, then they are about power. and I know a lot of people will slam me for this..but that's ok too..they are entitled to their own opinions, theories and feelings.

Because the people who follow God (and not God himself) are exclusionary. God loves all his children.
