Most inssurance companies won't pay for it. I was a surrogate for my best friend twice. Of course, he is my best friend, so I didn't make him pay for my living expensive. I had to use my own insurance because he's a guy. But even just the legal stuff can be very expensive. Plus, if you add IVF to the mix, it just gets bigger. I had a good experience, but again, he was aldready my best friend. Have you ever considered adoption? I have 3 kids that I gave birth to and have 4 fosters that I am in the process of adopting and I will tell you like I tell everyone else. A mother's love is a mother's love no matter who made the baby.My life wouldn't be the same without them all. There are SO MANY kids that have no one to tuck them in at night and to tell them that they are loved. Please consider this!

NO do not get a seragant mother, it works if the is trustworthy but there are alot leagal problems you could and no insurance does not pay for that, adoption is the best option there are lots of children all over the world that need love

It's surrogate, not "seragant." Why not adopt? There are so many babies in a world of hurt, because they don't have parents taking care of them. Think of how you could turn a miserable baby into a happy baby. That would be so much better than making a new baby, because the world is already very overpopulated.

No. Insurance will not pay for a surrogate. Why shoud they?
I don't think they should pay for IVF either. Some people just arent able to procreate. If you can't afford it, don't have it. Sounds mean, I know, but I'm so tired of people wanting other people to pay for things that others can't afford to pay for. I don't think having a baby fits under the terms of necessity like food, clothing, decent housing, etc.

No. Insurance only covers the people that it is paid to cover. Most insurance companies won't even pay for IVF on the people covered.

IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment; IUI, ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. The cost is very low and the medical services are very good in India.

My cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the Forerunners Healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full IVF treatment in India for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the newspapers. I have also read about a Chinese couple who planned surrogacy through the Forerunners Healthcare. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery and infertility treatment like IVF, IUI,ICSI abroad for low price. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery and treatment can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

if the insurance won't approve the surrogate mother's fee, there are oodles of already born kids waiting.

our county building had buildboards yesterday in the car tax payment lobby, each billboard filled with the picture of a sweet child and the heartbreaking description on board after board, "This child wants a mommy and daddy."

Honestly, I'd spend that ten grand on a sure thing and adopt. There are all sorts of babies in the world that need a home, and having a child share your genes or not has absolutely no effect on how loveable they are.

Some will and only so much and some won't. Usually you have to pay out of pocket the cost. Check with your insurance company.

most insurance companies don't pay for surrogacy, its a matter of personal choice and can be very expensive to maintain a surrogate, better is to pick someone with insurance or insure them yourself, in any case you will have to check whether they cover the birth expenses or not.
