Travel Agencies have access to Air Consolidators that sometimes have lower prices for international travel. These consolidators do not work through the general public.

There is a great website called flychina.com that offers great prices. Depending on your travel dates, prices may vary. I'm flew from Boise, ID to Shanghai at the end of May 2006 and stayed for a couple of months. My tickets costs only $838 on Northwest, connecting in Seattle and Tokyo. If you live in a major city like LA, or San Francisco, then they might be a little cheaper.

When you are ready to book, you'll send them an request via their website with all the dates. Usually it's the same day that they will notify you by email if their are seats available. If you decide to purchase the ticket, you'll fax a form that you can print off the internet with all your information on it. Then after a couple of days, they mail you either a e-ticket invoice or paper tickets. There may be more steps than some travel websites, it's worth it to get airplane tickets that cheap.

First, if you are a citizen of the UK you don't need a visa. About the ticket, what I would do is ask a good friend or a family member to let you use a credit card then write that person a check for the whole amount and for the day of your flight, explain the situation, I'm sure that he/she .will understand and trust you since you are giving a check for the amount of the ticket. buy the tickets at cheap fligh/cheap online Buena suerte y buen viaje.

If you would like to save a lot of money, skip the tavel agency. Purchase the ticket yourself. I have used www.flychina.com with very good results 3 times in the last year.

expedia is the best , but u have know ur going for sure other wise u need buy insurance on the tickets that runs around 40-100 .
